Changes for the 2008
Jayhawk Golf Club Season:
Nothing changes in terms of how much money you pay
at the
check in table!
The fees for Jayhawk
Golf Club Membership, Match Play, Stroke Play and the Gran Prix will
remain the
same as in 2007.
Specifically, each week
regular Jayhawk members will pay $50, and employees, members, and
season pass
holders will pay $30. The Gran prix portion of our weekly fees remains
$17. The gran prix portion of the weekly
fees ($17 of the $50 or $30 paid) will be restructured into a partial
same day
cash
pay out
system.
We will pay out $50, $30 &
$20 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in "net" and "gross" for every gran prix
event. Players will not be allowed to double dip; you cannot win money
on both sides. We will have a maximum same day pay out $200 total for
each
regular gran prix event. The remainder of the Gran Prix money and
points accumulate just like
in the
past in the "net only" Gran Prix pool and will be paid out at the end
of each of the two sessions
(spring and
fall) just like in the past. The only real change is that we are now
paying out a portion of the gran prix in cash the day of our events. We
will continue to pay out
gift
certificates for Match Play and Stroke Play tournaments. As always, a
member can choose to take his winnings in the form of gift certificates
as opposed to cash and has the option to opt out of the gran prix
entirely and pay traditional Alvamar Golf Club greens/carts fees.
