2007 Alvamar Cup

Enclosed is an entry form
for the 12th annual Alvamar Cup.
The Alvamar Cup will feature Ryder Cup style matches in a team format.
Match formats include Alternate Shot Chapman, Four Ball and Singles
with some “senior” matches (over 50 years of age) to be included.
Gran Prix points for this event: 7 points for participation, 5 points
for the winning team
with the losing team receiving 2 points. We will have proxy
markers on every hole.
A Mexican Buffet dinner will be served after the round, and there will
of course be
beer!
Every player will receive a short sleeve golf shirt, hat, one sleeve of
Titleist Pro V1 golf balls as
well as a
chance to win other fun stuff.
The Alvamar cup matches will include the following formats depending
on turn out:
Singles - net, gross and senior (50+)
Four ball - net, gross and senior (50+)
Alternate shot Chapman
Scramble
Conrad Roberts / Drew
Walters will be the
team captains for the Crimson
team.
Chad Roesler / Greg
Wyatt will be the
team captains for the Blue team.
The captains will draft the teams and assign matches to the players.
The matches/formats will be posted
on the Web and the bulletin board. All matches are match play. Each
match is worth one point.
If the match is tied after 18 holes each team will receive 1/2 point
just
like in Ryder Cup.
In the event of a tie in the Total Team Competition the
captains will select a singles player
from each team to play one sudden death match to decide the Alvamar
Cup. You will be playing for
Titleist Pro V1 golf balls; the winning team receives an additional
sleeve of balls.
The Alvamar Cup has traditionally been one of the most fun events.
